It’s A Mini Sale … Act Quickly!

Give yourself the gift you really wanted!

Still have room on the tree? We can help!  Celebrate365.com still has a large stock of European artisan-crafted ornaments.  Why not give yourself a gift?

In addition, the shop will be closing soon for the winter.  We will be leaving behind the Midwest’s winter cold in favor of sun and sand in Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula.  We will be away for 7 weeks and the store will be closed during that time.

Follow this blog as well as the Celebrate365 Facebook page to see what life is like for us in the Yucatan area. I taught high school Spanish for 26 years but I never envisioned a retirement perk quite like this!

Use the coupon code GOOD16 for a 15% discount on your order. Expires 12/31/16 … at the stroke of midnight!

ONE TIME use only, exclusions apply including previously reduced items, one-of-a kind folk art and 2016 “New Arrivals”.

David vs Goliath

I’m Connie and I own and operate Celebrate365.com.

I’m a one-woman online shop. Disability retirement in January 2000 (severe fibromyalgia) gradually led me to open the Celebrate365.com online holiday shop.  It”s been a fulfilling way to engage my brain and my creativity while acknowledging my inability to continue a high energy career.

I published Celebrate365 … a journal for the ornament enthusiast through 2011.  Then another health flare  forced me into a less demanding schedule. Now, I share my passion for holidays, decorating and ornaments throughout the year but on my own rather erratic timetable.

I can’t possibly compete with big box stores or huge online mega-sites.

But, I can guarantee personal attention to your collecting needs.  I offer a curated selection of artisan-crafted designs. I enjoy reporting background stories about designers and their collections.

I seek out unique designs and auctions on eBay, Etsy and the world-wide-web.  I share my finds on the Glass Links email list, the Celebrate365.com blog, Facebook and Pinterest.  I confess. I am a holiday-enabler!  From antique to contemporary, I love the holidays and the sentiments they evoke.

When David Strand hosted me last January at the Kurt Adler showroom in Atlanta, I was enchanted with his new line.  The designs are meticulous in the detail and imaginative in design.  What makes these ornaments more expensive than others?  Every stroke of the paintbrush and each application of glitter increase not only the artistry of a piece but its price!  Skilled artisans deservedly command commensurate wages be it in Poland or the USA.

I was so impressed with these sparkling decorations that I wanted to offer a few select styles on the Celebrate365.com web site.  When you visit the David Strand Collection, you find 15 styles available.  Each is truly stunning in its own way!

Imagine my dismay not long ago while browsing an Internet mega-site that I love.  I found the entire David Strand for Kurt Adler collection there … most as dramatically reduced prices.  In fact, several styles were priced well below my wholesale price!

To be fair, there are many good things about the Kurt Adler Company.  They offer the small retailer a very low opening order along with a modest reorder amount.  The company also offers “scaled” pricing.  The greater per-style quantity you purchase, the greater the discount.  That’s how this online mega-store is able to offer such low pricing.  And, that is absolutely their choice.  It’s one of the reasons that even I love them.  I shop there regularly, in fact.

I can’t possibly compete in pricing with big box stores or huge online mega-sites.  However, I can guarantee personal attention to your collecting needs.  But on this Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, I’m doing my best to compete with the Goliaths of the Internet.  I’ve drastically reduced my prices on the entire David Strand for Kurt Adler Collection.  As a passionate ornament collector myself, that’s what I feel I must do.  It should be fun and entertaining to shop for holiday glass ornaments.  While I hope that shoppers will continue to support small business, I hate to see anyone penalized dollar-wise for doing so.

David versus Goliath?  As the David in this one-employee business, I don’t have to consult with an office of advisors before making a management decision. The reduced pricing I’m now offering on the David Strand Collection is here to stay until all stock is sold!

Happy Holidays from the entire staff!

Connie

America’sMart Premieres 2013 Ornament Collections

Thomas Glenn Holidays 2013 Debut

Thomas Glenn Display, Atlanta 2013

Shortly after Christmas 2012, ornament designers and companies from around the world gathered in Atlanta as AmericasMart debuted new holiday collections.

Christopher Radko, Joy to the World Collectibles, Christina’s World, JingleNog, Eric Cortina, Soffieria De Carlini, Kurt Adler Presents David Strand, Bethany Lowe Designs, Thomas Glenn, Mattarusky, Debbie Thibault, Inge-glas of Germany, Vaillaincourt Folk Art … familiar names to ornament collectors.

I’ve been in Atlanta for nearly a week and will be flying home to Ohio this afternoon. Of course, I found lots of beautiful and innovative designs for the coming year. Most won’t ship to designers until late summer.  Look for blog updates over the following week as I share what’s on the horizon for glass Christmas and holiday ornaments.

Below are four new designs or colorations from Thomas Glenn Holidays. Many will recognize the Thomas Glenn name from reading Celebrate365 magazine. Glenn is a contemporary artist who has extended his sense of style to holiday ornaments. In fact, one of his designs was featured in O Magazine.

Thomas Glenn New Styles 2013

Celebrate365 offers a selection of Thomas Glenn ornaments. Although many styles are sold out from the Christmas season, many delightful designs are still available. The Celebrate365 store will be offering the styles shown above for the 2013 holiday. If you would like to reserve one of these styles, please use the contact tab at the top of the page. I’ll be happy to reserve your selection.
